Pendulum Cocktail Hour || Featuring Canada's First Locally-Made Premium Sake
On November 16th, drinks are on us.
The second installation of Pendulum Magazine’s Cocktail Hour event will be featuring Artisan SakeMaker, Canada’s first premium locally-made fresh sake.
Pendulum Magazine’s Cocktail Hour creates unique experiences bringing together the Greater Vancouver’s best, and often hidden, gems, for a one-night-only tasting experience. Our first installation of the event featuring Origo Club was a resounding success, where the featured drink designed by bartender Winson Ho went on to win a people’s choice award in an Old Fashioned cocktail competition.
Cocktail Hour will take place on November 16th, and evening’s featured cocktail will be handcrafted by award-winning mixologist Kevin Brownlee using Artisan SakeMaker’s Junmai Sparkling sake. First, you will inhale the refreshing scent of the orange peel, followed by the taste of fruity notes of the Junmai Sparkling sake, finished with the crisp bitterness of Vermouth.
Established in 2007 on Granville Island, Artisan SakeMaker is known as a unique commercial winery that produces award-winning, hand-made, small batch and fresh sake. The brand name "OSAKE" is well established as "Canada's first locally produced fresh premium sake" and its popularity has extended across the country and beyond.
A three-bite tasting menu devised by Juno Kim Catering has been designed to highlight the flavours of the featured cocktail, completing the cocktail tasting experience with crowd-pleasing savoury and vegetable bites.
The event will take place on November 16th from 5-8PM at 89 Smithe Street, Vancouver. Tickets for this 19+ public event will go live on November 9th at 5PM. Space is limited to 120 attendees and are on a first come first serve basis. Follow the link here to secure your spot!
We look forward to seeing you at Pendulum Magazine’s Cocktail Hour.
