The Douglas Hotel at the Parq Vancouver Entertainment Resort in Vancouver is inspired by modernist architect Arthur Erickson, and artfully incorporates this inspiration with the natural landscapes of Vancouver. From its timber-infused exterior to its mind-boggling lightbulb elevator walls, the Douglas Hotel stands out as neither art or design hotel, it's simply embracing the best of Vancouver's people and beautiful natural surroundings.

One of our favourite spaces in The Douglas Hotel is its elegant bar and lounge area on the 6th floor. Welcome to D/6, Vancouver's new hangout one must visit if they are stopping by one of the most livable cities in the world.

Stepping out from the elevator, your attention is captivated as soon as you make a right to see the front desk, where staff greet you warmly over the reception desk made of wood and glass. To your immediate right the sophisticated and mysterious dark colour palette decor of D/6 bar and lounge draws your eyes to the bar and the stunning bookcase at the very back of the room.

An expansive rooftop lounge lies beyond the floor to ceiling windows, with a beautiful water feature and cozy lounge chairs for friends to gather. The room layout features cozy nooks for groups of 2 to 3, and larger group mingling spaces for those celebrating special occasions.

Part of their delicious and innovative cocktail menu is The Douglas Fir, a drink the D/6 team has perfected for the holidays. Served in a high ball glass, with an oversized ice cube, the drink uses Douglas Fir gin, sweet & dry vermouth, cointreau and orange juniper bitters.
