KLAAR || Hand-Blown Glass Table Designed by Truly Truly Studio
If you are looking for a one of a kind piece to add a pop of colour to your home this season, look no further than the occasional side table, Klaar, by Rotterdam-based design studio Studio Truly Truly.
The design studio was founded by husband-wife duo Joel Booy (Australia, 1981) & Kate Booy (Australia, 1981). The team covers a variety of creative fields, from product design to lighting, furniture design, spatial installations, and art-direction.
The studio focuses on creating thoughtful products that enhance a living environment by combining functionality and sensuality. A quick browse through the studio’s website shows a multitude of previous projects that are exactly that; the sensual shapes and forms, the choice of alluring colours, even the degree of the transparency and the angle of the product’s curves, all point to their strong understanding of how to make furniture design sensual and relevant to the end-user.
The glass occasional table, Klaar, is a collaboration between Leolux, design Studio Truly Truly, and the Dutch Glass Museum in Leerdam. Every table is an object in itself as each table is actually blown by hand by master glassblower Gert Bullée and his team in the Netherlands. The colour schemes are fixed but the patina of the colours is unique for each table.
This translucent glass table will interact gracefully with the morning sunlight, afternoon shadows, and evening moonlight; it fits perfectly as an end table in your living room and comes in three stunning colours: Nougat, Lapis, and Mottle.
As it is a handcrafted, hand-blown work of art, you can expect slight variations with each of the pieces, making them one of a kind and a conversation starter piece in your home or office. A finished Klaar table is what we would fondly refer to as perfectly imperfect because each piece is made by hand so there may be small indentations, air bubbles, and scratches that are a part of the traditional production process.
Each Klaar table has an engraving on it that shows it is part of the collaboration between Leolux and the Dutch Glass Museum, making this special piece a collectible you will be able to cherish for years to come.
