BATH || An Elegant, Timeless Spa City
Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city of Bath exudes an unspoken grace and peacefulness no other British cities can emulate.
Honey-colored Georgian buildings dating back to the 18th-century and preserved Roman baths dot this picturesque landscape. Beneath the city’s serene facade, a relaxed suburban life beaming with creativity and geniality perpetuates. Unlike in London, where pressure and urgency fill the air, here, people go about their day jovially and nonchalantly. An elderly couple quietly conversing on a bench, a kid merrily chasing after a dog, a rowdy group of friends gathering at a park, someone sipping their morning coffee at a cafe engrossed in a book – these seemingly mundane spectacles of everyday life suddenly become much more vivid and amplified. An unmistakable, genuine cheerfulness is displayed across people’s faces. What a rare sight nowadays!
During our day trip to this compact, elegant city situated on the River Avon, we chanced upon some of the most beautiful architectures, like The Circus and Royal Crescent. It’s difficult not to be enamoured by the timeless beauty of these edifices. Other notable points of interest we visited include the Holbourne Museum and Bath Abbey.
Bath is a city that heals, rejuvenates and harnesses inspiration. One just needs to slow down their pace to appreciate the small beautiful moments that emanate endlessly from this city, which is essentially what we did on our trip. Now, we present you with some of the fleeting moments we captured that awakened our yearning for this special place.
