SAN FRANCISCO || Journey Outside The City

If you want to better know a city, you should travel the land in and around where it was built. Sinuous roads, sky-reaching giants, vast expanses, and quiet spaces--everything you'll find in and around San Francisco.

I'm Ben. The following photos showcase my first visit to the Bay Area, which is known for the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, the Painted Ladies, and Cable Cars, among many other things. However, there are also plenty of beautiful sites and locations in the areas around the city that are also worth a visit.

The iconic Highway 1 lets you travel along the majority of California’s coastline, opening up a wide array of activities within only an hour or two of San Fran’s city limits. For anyone, especially photographers, the possibilities are endless. Golden hour at Bixby Bridge, a glowing sunrise near the Cypress Tree Tunnel, and flowering fields around Sonoma are some of the experiences you can enjoy.

Hopefully, the beauty of San Fran's surroundings will entice more people to visit locations outside the city.
