GOTHAM STEAKHOUSE & BAR || Refined Healthy and Hearty Lunch Options in a Fine Dining Atmosphere
If you want a good steak, you go to Gotham Steakhouse & Bar.
That was the assumption, that you can only visit a steakhouse when you are craving a juicy steak. Little did we know that Gotham Steakhouse and Bar also offers an array of delectable lunch options ranging from Baja Fish Tacos to their famous New York Steak Sandwich served with thick-cut fries.
We had a chance to sample the lunch menu, and are delighted to share our list of recommendations with you below, on which dishes to try and insider tips to make the most of your lunch hour.
If you decide to indulge during lunch hour, you are going to want to start your meal with the aromatic cheese toast. Who doesn’t love hot, melty cheese on thick-cut toasts?
Another tip would be to venture off the drinks menu to see what the bartender can whip up for you. As we had to return to the office (fully functional) after our lunch, we requested mocktails to go with our meal and they were so delicious. They were custom made to our desired flavours - one citrus and one sweet. I couldn’t stop sipping on the refreshing drink made with strawberries, pineapple, orange juice, and orgeat syrup.
We decided to sample a range of items from fish to meat to a power bowl packed with greens and protein.
First, we had the hearty Baja Fish Tacos, where the fish is fried in a tempura batter, topped with cabbage slaw, and sits atop a bed of mouth-watering guacamole and pico de gallo. We loved how chipotle aioli adds a nice kick to every bite - we definitely wanted seconds!
You can’t come to Gotham Steakhouse and Bar and not try their meat dishes, so we opted for the iconic New York Steak Sandwich, served on a French loaf with piping hot french fries. What better than thick slices of juicy steak for lunch? There are also a variety of other hearty lunch options as well, such as the Veal Parmesan, Beef Bourguignon, Marinated Thai Beef Salad, and more.
Lastly, to ensure that we were getting our servings of vegetables, we had the Gotham Power Bowl, a healthy medley of vibrant vegetables and proteins. Get your fill of sweet potato and yam, red rice, navy beans and kidney beans, chickpeas, zucchini and broccoli, grape tomatoes, and avocado. If you are wondering whether the power bowl would be filling enough for lunch, the yams, beans and red rice will fill you up until dinner time. If you fancy salads instead of a power bowl, the Lobster Cobb Salad is also available on the lunch menu.
