PORCELAIN PURITY || Ceramic Artist Gabrielle Burke

Gabrielle Burke is the owner and designer of g ceramic & co. housed in the Beaumont Studios in Vancouver, BC. Gabrielle graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art & Design in 2011 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and has been involved in the ceramic community through volunteering ever since. She was a Board Member of the Gallery of BC Ceramics  for two terms and also worked with local schools instructing elementary and high school students all about clay.

She currently is inspired by porcelain and stoneware creating tableware, housewares and ceramic jewellery. Having lived mere steps from the ocean for the past several years, coastal & natural influences are evident in her work. The stars, sky and ocean imbue themes of connectedness and tactile responses in the viewer.

G ceramic & co is available online, retail, at local craft markets, and also out of her studio in White Rock, BC. Gabrielle enjoys doing custom work, especially with restaurants in Vancouver creating unique pieces for their service. "It's about creating awareness. If you want to make a difference, you have to go to the source. Plus I get to work with some amazingly talented people. That's when the real magic happens." She also organizes custom registries for weddings on her Etsy shop.
