NOSHI COFFEE || Enjoy Vegan Treats in a Cozy Greenery Garden at this Cafe in Porto
It felt like the right time to find a spot to take a break from our day of adventures in Porto for a midday snack.
Looking up nearby cafes on Google Maps, we found a spot with a mint green exterior and decided this would be the day's spot. Similar to other coffee shops in Porto, patios spill out onto the sidewalk, with this one featuring matching mint green chairs.
The interior is an elongated rectangle, and a central counter takes up the middle portion of the cafe, where baristas are preparing coffee, specialty drinks and treats. While you may be tempted to head back outside to sit on the patio after placing your order, we suggest heading down the narrow corridor to the back of the cafe, where a light-filled indoor garden awaits.
The team’s goal was to provide a relaxing environment in the heart of a bustling city center, where guests could enjoy artisanal coffee and healthy food. If you’re like us from the West Coast, and you’ve been spending some time indulging in Portuguese cuisine during your vacation, you would be delighted to hear that you could find chia pudding, gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegan treats.
We opted for the Noshi Oat Pancakes, which are homemade with 100% oat flour. It comes with fruit, peanut butter, chocolate cream (sugar-free), nuts and drizzled honey. We’d say this was probably the most guilt-free indulgent treat we enjoyed during our trip.
My midday pick-me-up would be incomplete without an oat milk latte. The vegan cheesecake topped with berries and sauce was a great pairing with its tangy flavour.
Next to us, a couple was enjoying a Papaya Salad and Chicken Avocado Burger while sipping on healthy juices on the menu. A family with young children was busy feeding their children while sipping on espressos.
Even if you feel like stopping by later in the day for a drink, Noshi also has a selection of Sangria, cocktails and wine to choose from. It seems like Noshi has something to nourish everyone!
If you find yourself in Porto and craving something healthier than the usual decadent flavours, Noshi is the ideal interlude to balance your diet.
