TEMPER CHOCOLATE AND PASTRY || Celebrate the Holidays with Festive Chocolates, Cakes and Confections

Although the holidays will not be the same this year, rest assured there will always be chocolate, cakes, and sweets on the table.

Temper Chocolate and Pastry in West Vancouver has introduced a new holiday lineup featuring custom Advent Calendars, Bûche de Noël Yule Log Cakes, authentic German Christmas Stollen, and novelty chocolate creations.

Back by popular demand for a second year in a row, Temper's chocolate Advent Calendar is an enchanting showpiece item featuring a colourful countdown display that reveals miniature chocolates and confections behind each window. Signature Advent Calendars are priced at $65 or can be customized with an assortment of your preferred chocolate flavours for $70 and up. As Temper will be creating a limited number of Advent Calendars this holiday season, pre-orders are required and must be placed before Friday, November 27.

Temper will also be making spirits bright with novelty Christmas time chocolates, decadent truffles, seasonal cookies and two traditional European-inspired cakes: sugar-dusted Christmas Stollen ($25 for small, $35 for large), an authentic German fruitcake made with orange, marzipan and almonds; and Bûche de Noël ($45), a classic Yule log cake available in three deliciously decadent flavours - Salted Caramel, Chestnut, and Pear and Hazelnut.

The beautiful chocolates in vibrant and fantastical colours remind us of mini planets (with creamy and decadent fillings). The cakes would complete an intimate family dinner at home, and who can say no to almond shortbread, walnut shortbread, and ginger cookies? These are all staples for us to survive what will seem to be an extended holiday season this year. Whether it’s pairing these artisan chocolates with your favourite wine, or enjoying milk and cookies by the fire in the evening as you are watching your favourite holiday movie, these treats are the perfect addition.

Although we know you won’t be able to wait to get your hands on these delicious goodies, in case you delay until the last minute, here are the holiday hours.

Temper Chocolate & Pastry will be operating with reduced hours during the holiday season. The shop and café will be open on December 23 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and December 24 from 7 a.m. to Noon. Temper will be closed from December 25 to 28, will reopen on December 29, 30, and 31, and will close again from January 1 to 4 inclusive.
