FZ1 || Modern Stool Design Collection By French Designer Jean-Baptiste Fastrez Adds New Colours To Its Lineup
Do you have stools in your furniture collection?
Stools are perceived as convenience items; additions for the table when guests are visiting. When not in use, stools are usually stacked and hidden away in a storage room. Stools were designed to be functional, with design more of an afterthought.
We had previously written about the FZ1 Stool when it was first launched back in 2020 in a sleek Matte Black design. The FZ1 Stool, part of the NEXT Collection by EO and designed by Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, is now available in 3 different colours: Matte Black, Clinic White and Lab Green. We are excited by the pop of colour with the Lab Green design since these functional pieces can now also double as decorative items.
The FZ1 Stool is crafted with a powder-coated steel frame, and the seat is powder-coated fine European ash wood. The modern design also addresses another longstanding pain point with stool design — the lack of armrests. The FZ1 stools resolve this issue with side handles, where one could rest their arms; your guests and visitors no longer need to feel awkward when perched on a stool, making their visit more comfortable.
From the user’s perspective, we could visualize the many benefits of this modern take on the age-old stool. If used at the bar seating area of a restaurant, we would use the handles to hang our scarves and handbags; we would no longer need to rummage around under the bar for coat racks or hooks. In a home setting, the sleek stackable stools no longer need to be stowed away in a dark corner but could act as a polished decorative piece in the living area.
The FZ1 Stool will be available soon on EO’s webshop. To find out more and to get on the waiting list visit EO’s product page here.
